Available courses

This course specifies the competences required to apply animal anatomy and 
physiology. It involves analyzing communication in plants and animals, applying nutrition in 
plants and animal’s concepts, applying transport in plants and animal’s concepts, analyzing 
support and locomotion in animals, analyzing reproduction in plants and animals, applying 
excretion in plants and animal’s concepts, applying gaseous exchange concepts in plants and 
animals. 

This course introduces learners to the principles of microbiology with emphasis on applied and competence-based training. It covers the classification, structure, growth, and control of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa. Learners develop practical skills in microbial culture techniques, sterilization, and laboratory safety relevant to health, industrial, and environmental applications.

This course equips learners with essential laboratory safety skills and good laboratory practice (GLP) required in biological and biochemical laboratories. It covers laboratory rules, hazard identification, use of personal protective equipment, waste management, biosafety procedures, and ethical conduct. The course emphasizes safe handling of equipment, chemicals, and biological materials in compliance with TVET and industry standards.

This course introduces learners to the principles of Applied Biology and Biochemistry with emphasis on competence-based training. It covers fundamental biological concepts, biochemical processes, laboratory techniques, and safety practices relevant to TVET and applied science environments. The course integrates theory, practical activities, and assessments to support skill development for laboratory, industrial, and research contexts.
